  • Congratulations to Julien Mégrourèche, Dr. Hamed Bekerat, Jingyi Bian, and Alaina Bui for their publication titled, “Development of a hydrated electron dosimeter for radiotherapy applications: A proof of concept”.

EngerLab PhD student Jingyi Bian and previous MSc student are co-authors on this paper which provided a proof of concept for a hydrated electron dosimeter for radiotherapy dosimetry. This dosimeter was shown to be effective for low-dose-per-pulse linear accelerators. Read more here: Mégrourèche J, Bekerat H, Bian J, Bui A, Sankey J, Childress L, Enger

  • Congratulations Jingyi Bian and Juan Duran for their recent publication titled, “GEANT4-DNA simulation of temperature-dependent and pH-dependent yields of chemical radiolytic species” in the Physics in Medicine and Biology journal!

This work allows for the calculation ofG-values for radiolytic species at different temperatures and pH values through the modifications done by Jingyi to the source code of GEANT4-DNA.
