The American Brachytherapy Annual Meeting took place in Vancouver, Canada, from June 22nd to 24th, serving as a platform for the latest advancements in the field. The EngerLab made a notable presence at the event, with our talented students, Melodie Cyr and Maryam Rahbaran, showcasing their research projects. Melodie presented her work on “A Feasibility Study: Insertion of Inert Alpha DaRT Seeds in Orthotopic Rectal Mice Models,” while Maryam shared her findings on “Development of a Novel Dosimetry Software for Patient-Specific Intravascular Brachytherapy Treatment Planning on Optical Coherence Tomography Images.” We are also proud to mention that Dr. Shirin A. Enger was an Invited Speaker in the Physics Session titled “Delivering the Right Care Through Advances in Technology.” Dr. Enger’s presentation focused on Auto-planning (Knowledge-Based Planning).
