Congratulations to Alaina Bui for her paper “Effects of incoming particle energy and cluster size on the G-value of hydrated electrons” being published in the European Journal of Medical Physics!

This paper culminated from Alaina’s master’s work in the EngerLab on hydrated electron dosimetry. In this study, GEANT4-DNA was used to calculate G-values for reactive species produced during water radiolysis. The results of this work show that GEANT4-DNA can be used to calculate G-values for hydrated electron dosimetry for clinically relevant energies.
