Congratulations to Dr. Parsa Bagherzadeh for being awarded the Terry Fox Postdoctoral fellowship!
Congratulations, we are so proud!
Congratulations, we are so proud!
Yujing, Sebastien, and Hossein were awarded funds to travel to Kenya, South Africa and Tanzania, respectively and teach. We are very proud!
Sebastien and Jake were awarded travel grants to present their work as oral presentations at the ESTRO conference, and gave excellent presentations!
EngerLab PhD student Jingyi Bian and previous MSc student are co-authors on this paper which provided a proof of concept for a hydrated electron dosimeter for radiotherapy dosimetry. This dosimeter was shown to be effective for low-dose-per-pulse linear accelerators. Read more here: Mégrourèche J, Bekerat H, Bian J, Bui A, Sankey J, Childress L, Enger …
This work allows for the calculation ofG-values for radiolytic species at different temperatures and pH values through the modifications done by Jingyi to the source code of GEANT4-DNA. Jingyi, Victor, Hossein, and Yujing are now PhD students in the EngerLab. Congratulations to all, we are so proud of you!
This work describes a method developed by Francisco which applies a deep learning trained with Monte-Carlo simulations to predict dose to medium for LDR prostate brachytherapy, considering the anisotropy of a brachytherapy source and patient tissue composition.
