Thank you Quebec City!

Part of the EngerLab attended two different scientific conferences in Quebec City, IC3Ddose and COMP annual scientific meeting. Members of our group presented their research, interacted with national and international experts in the field and had a lot of fun!  Thank you Ville de Quebec for your hospitality. We had a great time!

Congratulations to Yujing for an excellent oral presentation (proffered paper) at ESTRO 2022 in Copenhagen, Denmark!!

Yujing Zou, M.Sc. student at the EngerLab, presented McMedHacks‘ team efforts from the Enger Lab at the McGill University – Medical Physics: “McMedHacks: Deep learning for medical image analysis workshops and Hackathon in radiation oncology”, at European Society for Radiotherapy and Oncology (ESTRO), the largest European meeting on radiation oncology, in Copenhagen, Denmark last Saturday. #estro2022. The proffered paper presentation is …

Congratulates Dr. Marc Morcos!

Marc defended successfully his Ph.D. thesis “Intensity Modulated Brachytherapy for the Treatment Of Cervical Cancer”.
By placing rotating radiation attenuating shields inside the tandem of the cervical applicators, Marc’s innovation ensure to produce directional dose distributions.

Dynamic shield cervix IMBT system holds great promise for
increasing the therapeutic ratio and making brachytherapy accessible to more patients.

Please join us in congratulating Peter Kim on his recent publication in European Journal of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging Physics!

Peter’s latest publication is on standardization of SPECT/CT dosimetry following radioembolization with yttrium 90 microspheres by investigating the dose differences due to different self-calibrations and mass density assignments in the non-compartmental and local deposition methods. A practical mean correction method was introduced that permits dosimetry in images where the quality is compromised by patient motion …
